1.  What do you love most about Holly Springs?  We love that Holly Springs has the small town feel and charm but also has everything that we want and need close by.  We also love that Holly Springs has top rated schools.  Our daughter attended a middle school & high school here, which are both excellent.
2.  What are the best things about your neighborhood?  We love that there is Veteran's Park in our neighborhood which includes a pond with a paved walking trail, outdoor exercise equipment, bathrooms and picnic tables.  We love that everyone is nice and it is a very safe & beautiful neighborhood.  Christmas, especially, is even more beautiful as the majority of the neighborhood puts up a ton of lights and decorations.
3.  What are a few of your favorite LOCAL restaurants or shops?  Bass Lake Draft House in Holly Springs has delicious brunch and also lunch & dinner.  My Way Tavern in Holly Springs has amazing sandwiches!  Kobe Hibachi & Sushi in Holly Springs has wonderful Japanese food!  Sweet Cheeks Bakery in Apex is a must have!  The owner was actually from our neighborhood even before we moved to Holly Springs and the desserts are all amazingly made from scratch...I especially recommend the caramel cake.
4.  What are some of the nearby conveniences?  The post office is a minute drive, as well as gas stations.  Target, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Walmart, Ulta, Pier One Imports, Lowe's Foods, Food Lion, Walgreen's...and so, so much more are all within 5 minutes or less!  Also, the W.E. Hunt Recreation Center has a fitness center, elevated track 1 and 1/2 of a mile around, gymnasium, game room with ping pong & table soccer, playground, classrooms, and 2 multi-purpose spaces designed for aerobics.
5.  What are your favorite things about your home?  We love the gorgeous blend of brick and siding exterior along with the curb appeal of our house.  We love that our house has tons of windows & natural light.  We love the open concept on the first floor.  We also love the nature behind our house.  Most of all, we love that we bought this house and turned it into a home.

Seller Says:
1.  What do you love most about Raleigh/Wakefield?  Wakefield is like a self-contained community that has almost everything you would ever need, but just outside of Wakefield is the rest of Raleigh and all of Wake Forest! We have found everybody here is friendly and very welcoming.
2.  What are the best things about your neighborhood?  St. James Place has become our local family.  We enjoy getting together in the cul-de-sac for cookouts on beautiful evenings when we drag the grill around to the front and everybody brings out their chairs!  The kids love riding bikes and throwing the ball out there, too!  Halloween is quite the celebration, and it's possible you'll need some extra candy for all of the kids that come around!  There are also neighborhood garage sales and a traveling neighborhood Christmas party.
3.  What are a few of your favorite LOCAL restaurants or shops?  Chick-Fil-A, Krispy Kreme and Papa Murphy's are only 1 mile away in one direction and Moe's, Starbucks, and Dunkin Donuts are just a few minutes away in the other direction!  We also love that there is the fine dining restaurant, Bruno's, within 5 minutes of the house as well for convenient and close date nights...and to get ready for that date night, Amy Nails has been a great place for a mani-pedi.
4.  What are some of the nearby conveniences?  We love that school is within walking distance (both Forest Pines Elementary-traditional, and North Forest Pines Elementary-year round) at .8 miles away.  The movie theater is just a few minutes away and is always fun, followed by Sweet Spoons Frozen Yogurt.  One of the best things though is that you don't even hit any stoplights to get to Harris Teeter!  Also, Walmart, Target, Home Depot and Lowe's are all within 5 minutes.  They've also just broken ground on a new public library less than a mile away.  The YMCA and even the pediatrician/doctor are all just a few minutes away, within Wakefield as well.
5.  What are your favorite things about your home?  The kitchen is the place that we spend the most time in, both preparing food for the family (with plenty of space!), but also the hub for hanging out with company!  Love that all of our cabinets have pull outs to make getting things in/out super easy.  Our secret hideaway attic storage spaces off of the master closet has been so convenient and easy to get to.  We always have had the lots of house guests, and everybody always appreciates that there is a bathroom convenient for every bedroom.  The guest bedroom downstairs has been nice for grandparents, and the laundry room upstairs where all of the laundry is has been very convenient.

Seller Says:
1.  What do you love most about Creedmoor?  I love that when I'm home, it feels like I live out in the middle of the country...very peaceful and quiet.  Even though it has a 'country feel' I'm only 30 minutes away from all the major cities and towns like Raleigh, Durham, Wake Forest and Chapel Hill.
2.  What are the best things about your neighborhood?  The neighbors here are very friendly and actually say hello to one another as they drive or walk by each other!  I also like that the Homeowner's Association is very active...a lot of neighbors attend the meetings and they really care about the betterment of the neighborhood.  As well, the neighborhood is very well maintained...fresh flowers planted at the entrance in the spring and summer and lights & ornaments hung on trees during Christmas...makes it very inviting.
3.  Do you have a favorite nearby restaurant or shop?  Hands down, the best Mexican food I've ever had is at El Corral Mexican Restaurant just a couple of miles down the road...it is awesome!  In fact, my parents drive from two hours away, just to eat dinner there!
4.  What are your favorite things about your home?  I really like the big living area and love the kitchen!  I like to cook a lot so having a lot of counter space and room to spread out is important.  I also like the big deck which is perfect for entertaining...the house is set up well for entertaining with the living area, kitchen and deck all on one side of the house and the bedrooms on the other.

Seller Says:
1.  What do you love most about Wake Forest?  I think the thing about Wake Forest that is great is that it has a small town atmosphere but is close to Raleigh/Durham;  this makes it easily accessible to cultural/sporting events that we all like.  In addition, we have seen Wake Forest grow over the years and it has many of the daily amenities that we need close by.  Durham Performing Arts Center is a straight shot down NC 98 to Durham.  Lots of recreational sports teams for kids, some offered through the county, some through the Town of Wake Forest...including a growing tennis program at Flaherty Park.  Plus, there is an annual Christmas parade.
2.  What are the best things about your neighborhood?  The neighborhood is great in that it is a quiet neighborhood without through traffic, without any of the noise from the highways, and the fact that the trees have all been preserved when they built out the neighborhood;  this makes everyone's homes/yards visually appealing.  The neighborhood is friendly and very safe.  People look out for each other.  Everybody also has a sizeable lot so that the houses are not on top of each other.  Since the far end of New Forest Lane backs up to Camp Kanata, the neighborhood will always retain its peaceful charm.  But you can be back onto NC 98 in 3 minutes to get anywhere you need to be in the Triangle in a short time.
3.  What are a few of your favorite restaurants and shops?  From a guys perspective, having Home Depot/Lowes within 5 minutes of the house is always great.  From a woman's perspective, having Super Target as well as well as several Harris Teeters and Whole Foods within 5-10 minutes of the house.  Triangle Town Center is 15 minutes away.  Lots of new restaurants popping up in the area-our favorites include Gateway Tavern, Asia Bistro, and Over the Falls Deli (the BEST reuben in town!)  We have seen the whole Wake Forest/North Raleigh area grow over the years in a very logical way without all the restrictions of Cary.  For people who travel a lot, Raleigh Durham International Airport is easily accessible.
4.  What are some of the best nearby conveniences?  It is certainly nice having several very large grocery stores, a large movie theater and numerous restaurants all within 5-10 minutes of the house...including 2 Starbucks!
5.  What do you love most about this home?  I think the biggest thing that we like about the house is the sense of space/value with the two-story family room/sunroom.  Although it is a large house, it never felt that way.  The house has always felt cozy despite its size.  We kept the main living quarters upstairs so that they would be physically separated from the entertaining areas.  In addition, we've also loved the dramatic views of the two-story fireplace and then looking beyond into the wall of windows in the sunroom.  We specifically set up the downstairs guest suite to accommodate aging parents with the intention to convert to a master suite when we no longer wanted to negotiate the stairs ourselves!  While we used the attic for storage, we had discussed converting it to a home theater from time to time.  I also love many of the thoughtful updates we did such as the whole house surge protector as well as the UV filter on the big windows in the sunroom.  The filters help to moderate the temperature while still allowing plenty of natural light into the home.

1.  What do you love most about Raleigh?  What we love MOST about Raleigh is that it has the feel of a small "big" town with LOTS of museums, bars, restaurants, concerts, entertainment, an array of children's activities, and year round annual outdoor festivals/activities.  All of the major universities offering the highest education levels are within driving distance and we are close to Wake Technical Community College, offering classes from auto mechanic to nursing and anything in between.  Just a GREAT PLACE TO LIVE!
2.  What are the best things about your neighborhood?  Some of the best things about OUR neighborhood is that it is easy access to downtown, Cary, Fuquay Varina, Apex and the airport as well as the 40/42 area.  This neighborhood has the PERFECT quiet, country setting that appeals to all age groups.  We just LOVE our neighbors and everyone NEVER hesitates to help one another out.  Any time we need help or see that our neighbors need help, we ALL pitch in to help and will stay until the work is finished.  It just feels like the "old days" when neighbor helped neighbor, regardless of what the need is and we are TRULY going to miss that.  We have some AWESOME neighbors and they will LOVE to become your AWESOME neighbors as well!
3.  What are a few of your favorite LOCAL restaurants or shops?  There are SO MANY GREAT restaurants and shops that are locally owned and offer a diverse menu to ALL taste pallets as well as all walks of shoppers.  It is GREAT to be able to help keep the locals in business plus the feeling of family when you walk into their place of business.
4.  What are some of the best nearby conveniences?  Some of the near by conveniences are White Oak Shopping Center, major grocery stores such as Harris Teeter, Kroger, Lowe's Food, multiple Food Lions and now a brand new Aldi!  We are close to Jordan Lake and White Deer Park where people meet up to just walk around or walk their dogs.
5.  What are your favorite things about your home?  Some of the FAVORITE things about our home is that it is a GREAT entertainment area with an in-ground pool with underwater changing lights, outdoor speakers throughout the yard, a Tiki Hut that is covered and has outdoor carpet, a HUGE yard that is LEVEL and fenced in where all sports can be played effectively!  Soccer, volleyball, softball, kickball...you name it, you can play it safely within the fence.  ALL bedrooms are on the main level with the master at the opposite end of the hall.  There is a HUGE bonus room upstairs that can be used as an extra bedroom, game room, play room, office or media room.  It also has its own closet, brand new carpet and a half bath.  This room can be made into anything you can imagine!  We just LOVE this house but it's just too large for us at this stage in our lives.
Another added bonus...we have a BRAND NEW ROOF!!

Seller Says:
1.  What do you love most about Fuquay Varina?  Fuquay is a small town with so many conveniences.  The sports program is great for the kids to be a part of.  We have enjoyed the town fireworks for the 4th of July and the festivals in downtown Fuquay Varina.  There are tons of places to grab a bite to eat-fast food and lots of local spots, shopping-Kohls, Big Lots, WalMart, Harris Teeter, just to name a few.  You are also a quick drive to Raleigh, Holly Springs and Apex.  The good news is that Fuquay is always growing, so, soon you won't need to travel to another town to find what you need.
2.  What are the best things about your neighborhood?  South Lakes offers a great location and neighborhood for families.  The people here are awesome!  There is a true sense of community in the neighborhood-from neighborhood get-togethers, kids playing together outside, pride in yards and plantings.  There are even social groups on Facebook for moms and a buy/sell/trade group.  People are always out taking a walk in the neighborhood or on the path with kids and/or dogs;  most people stop for a swing under the "big tree" as they make their way through Jones Lake Road.  South Lakes is well maintained and a very inviting neighborhood.  In the summer, it is very common for neighbors to be working in the yard or meeting up at the pool under the cabanas during the day or gathering around fire pits at night.  In the fall, be sure to have lots of candy for all of the trick or treaters!
3.  What are a few of your favorite LOCAL restaurants or shops?  To get something to eat, we love to go to Two Cousins Pizza in Angier,
Stick Boy Bakery or there are tons of chain places like Dunkin Donuts and Chick-fil-A close by.  To grab a local beer, we are minutes from Draft Line, White Rabbit, and Aviator.  To get the BEST ice cream, Sunni Sky's is just minutes down the road.  To get an outfit or gift, Kohls or David Anthony's.
4.  What are some of the best nearby conveniences?  It is just a few quick turns to get to a number of places-gas stations, restaurants, shopping and parks.
5.  What are your favorite things about your home?  From the craftsman style and red exterior color to the deep hardwood floors-what isn't to love about this house?  One of the best features of our home is the front and back porches.  There is no better place to sit and relax than in a rocking chair on the front porch or relaxing under the fan in the screened porch in the back.  The closets, kitchen pantry, and garage are all complete with custom wood work to provide ample smart storage space to keep everything organized.  The open floor plan is great for entertaining and keeping your family together.  Having the bonus room to relax in and watch movies together or as a place for the kids to have their own space is great.

5 Bedrooms | 3.5 Bathrooms | 0.16 Acres 4,458 Square Feet

1.  What do you love most about Raleigh?   Raleigh is literally the best city in the world.  You might think this hyperbole, but you’re looking in Raleigh, and you’re awesome, so imagine when a half a million people (http://www.raleighnc.gov/government/content/PlanDev/Articles/LongRange/RaleighDemographics.html)  decide to make their home in a geographic area.  You get a city full of people like you, and how can it not be the best city in the world?  It’s the 2nd largest city in North Carolina, and as such, it has all the big city things one could want or need, while simultaneously offering an immense number of outdoor recreation opportunities for those that like to leave the big city behind.  Falls Lake, Umstead Park, the Greenway system?  Google this.  You’ll fall in love.
2.   What are the best things about your neighborhood?    Do you remember when you were growing up and you could go outside and play with your friends in the neighborhood until it was past dark?  That’s Bedford.  There are kids everywhere, and we’ve always felt safe and comfortable with our kids playing and running through the ‘hood with their friends, and our friend’s kids.  Sidewalks line every street on both sides, and there are parks and trails that cut through trees and beside the Neuse River.  Here’s the coolest thing, though.  Your kids aren’t the only ones that will enjoy “playing”.  Bedford is a very active community, overall, and you’ll see your friends and neighbors running on the trails, grilling at the clubhouse and pool during the summer, enjoying pancakes with Santa in December, decorating their wagons for the annual 4th of July parade around the clock tower in the neighborhood, and something else every other weekend.  Your kids can play, and you can play.
3.     What are your favorite local restaurants and shops?  Bedford has restaurants and shops right in the middle of the neighborhood, and they happen to be about a 4 minute walk from our house.  Karoake and a dance party happens every Saturday night at Bedford Bistro and Bar.   If I need a bottle of wine or a chocolate chip cookie after dinner, I run over to CafĂ© B’s .   If we’re feeling fancy, Sushi Lulu is our spot.  All of this is within eyesight of the pool, and I can’t tell you how awesome it is to be at the pool hanging out with friends, only to walk over as a family for a quick treat before walking back home.
4.   What are some of the best nearby conveniences?    You’ve heard about the Bedford pool, right?  It’s a 3 minute walk from the house.  You could drive there in 30 seconds, but walking is what you do in Bedford. That, or bring a golf cart!  The Raleigh Greenway is where I spend most mornings running or riding a bike.  There are 2 entrances to the Greenway that are on either side of our home.  The trail runs along the Neuse River from the Falls Lake Dam, all the way to Johnston County in a straight shot.  You never have to jump off the trail.  I love taking the kids to the Falls Lake park just across from Bedford.  We’ll hike the Mountain to Sea Trail and do our best Lewis and Clark impression.  Honestly though, I love just hanging out with the neighbors grilling out, sitting on the front porch, or hanging by the fire pit in the backyard.
5. What are your favorite things about your home?    The way the kitchen flows is awesome for parties and entertaining.  We love having lots of folks over, and just enjoying company.  There is so much space too, that you’ll never feel like you’re cramped or stepping over each other.  The 3rd floor “man cave” is a nice hideaway.  There’s a wet bar, and full bath.  You could live there during football seaon and never come downstairs!  I also love all of the things that we’ve updated and upgraded while we lived here.  The fireplace, and all the stone work, for example.  There’s just so much square footage that you can use and grow in, and with all of the parks and outdoor spaces nearby, you don’t have to go far away from conveniences like a neighborhood pool and proximity to Raleigh to get outdoors.
